Operating Hours are 10 am to 6 pm 7 days a week between Memorial Day weekend (May 25, 2024) and Labor Day (September 2, 2024). The Nevada City Old Town Museum and Music Hall has extended hours. Call 406.843.5247 between 8 am and 5 pm on weekdays to make a group reservation or schedule a school field trip or for questions about our attractions. You can leave a message if no one is available.

Village Pump and Information Center
Come fuel up at the newly restored gas station. Our prices are competitive and earned revenue will go towards the preservation of Virginia City and Nevada City, Montana.
The Information Center is attached to the gas station. Stop in and learn about Virginia and Nevada Cities history. Find out what current attractions and accommodations are available.
Virginia City Depot and Visitor Information Center
413 West Wallace Street
Home to the Alder Gulch Shortline Railroad, Gift Store, & Montana Heritage Commission (MHC) Visitor Information Center on the lower (west) edge of Virginia City along Highway. Public restrooms are available at this location. All tickets and passes sold at this location.
Nevada City Museum and Music Hall Entrance
1578 MT Hwy 287
All tickets and passes sold by the Montana Heritage Commission are available from this location. Train departs across the street at the Bovey Visitor Center. There are 4 outhouses located in the museums or public restrooms located on the south side of the Bovey Visitor Center.
River of Gold

(In between Virginia City and Nevada City)
Passes and tickets for gold panning are available from this location.
Make Virginia City and Nevada City your "Must See" Stop between the National Parks.
It is only about 90 miles from the Yellowstone Park Entrance.
