Virginia City and Nevada City, Montana are in Southwest Montana, south of Whitehall on Hwy 287 between Ennis and Sheridan. These two cities are about a mile and a half apart along Highway 287 in the Alder Gulch area in southwestern Montana.
The Montana Heritage Commission (MHC) has three staffed locations in Virginia City and Nevada City, Montana during the summer months.
Virginia City Depot & Visitor Information Center

This location is home to the Virginia City Shortline Railroad, Gift Store, & Montana Heritage Commission (MHC) Visitor Information Center on the lower (west) edge of Virginia City along Highway. Public outhouses are available at this location. All tickets and passes sold by the Montana Heritage Commision are available from this location.
Nevada City Museum & Music Hall Entrance
